Ringo Starr was born Richard Starkey on July 7, 1940 in the working class area of Liverpool, England. At age 15 Ringo’s stepfather bought him his very first drum kit. His career as a drummer began with several groups including “Rory Storm & The Hurricanes”, a popular band in Liverpool. He is Ringo Starr’s personal photographer and has been working closely with him since 2005, photographing and designing his tour books, DVD’s, and records “Y-Not” and “Ringo 2012.” The 2012 All Starr tour will be his 5th tour with Ringo. He also photographs all appearances of Ringo and Paul McCartney for Cirque dul Soliel/The Beatles LOVE show in Las Vegas.
